Berezhna Ninel

Berezhna Ninel was born on March 19, 1928 in the village of Lozova, Kharkiv region. She graduated from the Kyiv Medical Institute (1951). Doctor, MD (1972), Professor (1983). State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (2016). She worked as a doctor-researcher at the Institute of Experimental Biology and Pathology of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (1951-1953); junior researcher, senior researcher. Kyiv Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Parasitology of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine (1953-1974); from 1974 – at the Institute of Experimental Pathology, Oncology and Radiobiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine: Senior Researcher, 1980-1997 – Head of the Department of Immunology and Allergology, from 1997 – Head of the Laboratory of Immunology and Allergology of the Department of Tumor Cell Biology. Studies the significance of the biological features of tumor cells for their interaction with lymphocytes; the role of B-lymphocytes in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases.
